13/07/2008
San Francisco is preparing to undertake the nation
’s most ambitious trial of a wireless sensor network that will announce which parking spaces are free at any moment.
Conceding the failure of the South Street Seaport pier as a “festival marketplace,” its owners plan to replace it with a mixed-use project including an apartment and hotel tower.
Rail! Commute! In Jacksonville?
04/06/2008
This would be all too perfect for the city of bridges. An efficient train system! F the sky way which leads to all the walkable parts of downtown, minus to San Marco. According to Metrojacksonville.com, the people want to ride the train wave, similar to other Southern cities. A model after Charlotte and Nashville perhaps?

Please take action! Make this commuter map expand as far as the beaches and Orange Park!

Gardens man claims he’ll rock MTV’s ‘World
29/05/2008
Could “The Real World: Brooklyn” actually be “The Real World: Carroll Gardens”? One week after the network’s reality show announced that it would tape its 21st season in Brooklyn this summer, one Gardens property owner said he has the inside track on snatching the show’s players from hipper neighborhoods.
———- Once upon a time, I really wanted to be a cast member. Imagine all the attention and free shit. Everywhere! But, seriously this is too much to handle. Maybe they’ll be Michelle Williams neighbor and the cast member’s job is to babysit or to be chief magazine interns, where they are forced to take vigira . Thoughts?

Oh, Jacksonville

Well, I know where I will be staying next week. Not.
This gentrification has been brewing for years now.
Why would this be aesthetically appealing? I hope small businesses in the Urban Core are getting involved.

cultural diversity!

Fort Green has a wonderful history. Full of artist, such as Sike lee and Eykah Baduh, it’s pretty telling that there is still an influx of the gentrification cycle. Sure, there is a Super Target adjacent to BAM, but somehow the culture remains in tact. After dining at the delicious pequena I walked 30 steps to Moe’s. I was greeted by a projection of SHAFT. Immediately entranced, I sipped on whiskey giner until the production was over. All while watching the Hispanic man dance to soul, making sure to applaud with the rest of the bar when he spun around in his chair.
A must go!
